Question, error off the hitters card

I noticed that I commited an error on a roll off my opponents hitters card. A far as I know errors should only happen on "result" X which is only on pitchers cards. 2-9 roll resulted in single error CF. Is this supposed to happen?

Outfielders can make throwing errors when runners try for an extra base. So yes it's possible to get an error off the hitter's card as you describe
