Clarification about a roll

In the top of the 9th. Tris Speaker was facing Gene Gerber. The roll was a 1-6. It was recorded as an ground out. How would that be with a 1-6 on both left & right hand is a double. Why would it be a GB. Here is a thread of game. Any input would be appreciated.

Just a wild guess, but maybe HAL had the corner infielders defending the lines - it's a ground ball to 1st, after all. I have no idea if HAL does such things, but I do understand there are quite a few settings that are in use but not publicized. Maybe this is one of them.

The problem with this is that v. RH pitcher the Double is to LF. Neither side Double has a symbol indicating it could be an out.

kunkel please repost this on the atg board so more people see it -- completely weird, esp. given that infield deep would be gb to 3b not first
