The SI Single.....

Some cards have a simple SI result. Its a Single of course,...but why is it not printed as SINGLE (cf) or SINGLE**...?

Where did this Single go?.....who is the outfielder responsible for the throw if a runner tries for an extra base?

If it is the same as a SINGLE *,...why not just list it as that?

If you were playing without the maximum rule "improve baserunning realism," a simple SI would be a single to centerfield with the option to take an extra base. However, since the online game uses this maximum rule, all bets are off. This result could be altered to go to another outfield position. Furthermore, sometimes a SI* will allow a runner to try for an extra base.
