Home vs. on the Road strategies ??

My teams seem to have some serious problems on road trips! In the most recent Mystery Tournament I have a combined record of 98-67 at home but only 81-90 on the road. Except for my 90's team (Kingdome), my parks have been relatively neutral. My 60's team was competitive and in first place until a pair of road trips (5-13 and 5-10) ended any playoff chances. Anyone have any road strategies? Do you pull starters quicker? Be more aggressive on the bases? Does the game have a built in "home favor"? ...this is a computer game and the "dice rolls" should not be affected by a poor nights sleep on a strange hotel mattress...LOL
