Player replacement strategy

PostWed Aug 26, 2015 7:21 pm

I'm wondering if it's possible to make a defensive replacement and shift the player in the field to DH to keep them in the game?
I have been trying to figure out a way to do this but can't seem to.
Any thoughts on a work-around?

I'm not sure how Strat works, but in MLB the DH position cannot be moved. So for example if your DH is batting 5th and your RF is batting 7th, you could not move the RF to DH, as the DH must occupy the #5 spot in the batting order for the entire game (unless the DH is terminated, which online strat does not provide for. I bet many others (including myself) have done this in CDROM or C&D though

This is not legal. This was taken from the mlb.com web site:

A Designated Hitter is "locked" into the batting order. No multiple substitutions may be made that will alter the batting rotation of the Designated Hitter.

Here's the link if anyone is interested in the full rules for DH:

Thanks for the answers I guess that's why it's never come up before, but I was sure I had seen it done.
So much for improving my offence
