HAL's Substitutions for Injury

PostWed Jan 06, 2016 1:16 pm

in a case where both my CF'rs are injured, how can I set my CF to get the best range.
I'd like HAL to use Brock in CF and Vail in LF.
I'm afraid if I SET Vail in LF and leave Brock on the bench, HAL may select Bocabella instead and leave Brock out of the game completely.
Any advice?

I assume that none of these non-injured guys have a rating at cf, right?

Someone played a whole season without any cf, and from memory, Hal wasn't using the best defensive option, I think it was Canseco who was the one being pulled at cf (thus becoming 4 or 5), while Reggie was kept at rf (with his 2). That person was still happy though, as Canseco was the one bat he wanted there. Canseco wasn't used as cf for two games only--another bench player was taking cf in those games.

Thanks, yes none of the available OF's played CF. I saw that post and tried the advice last nite. Unfortunately, it didn't work. HAL put Aaron in RF and Brock in LF (their best positions) and placed Vail in CF - urgh. Lost 2/3.
