Does anyone know what the minimum games played is for an MLB player to qualify at a position for the following year's card set is? Or an estimate?

Thanks!

I asked your question of SOM 6 or 8 years ago. Their answer was 1 out at a position makes the player eligible at that position. Still true? Not sure.

I believe 2 starts at a position is required, although it could be 3

I looked around and found the following carded players:

2013 - Chris Coghlan - 2B - 1 inning played
2015 - Emilio Bonifacio - 3B - 1 inning
2015 - Caleb Joseph - 1B - 2 innings
2015 - Hanley - 3B - 4 innings

So basically if you show up in the boxscore at the position you'll get carded.

I asked SOM the question: Does 1 out at a position make the player eligible at that position?

They replied:

Generally this is still the case. However if a player plays a second or third OF position with an extremely low number of innings, the secondary OF positions may not be eligible. Also, our research team lets us know that some positions may not be carded if the player did not truly play that position even if credited with an out (entered as 5th infielder but credited as an OF, credited a new position during a shift that they didn't play, etc.)
