I know that players get hot and cold in a game of chance by dumb luck, but I find it hard to believe that this was random variation, but not some kind of normalization control in the Strat software. Have you seen anything like this for any of your players? Do you think this is random? Nothing changed drastically during my season, regarding the percent of righties pitched, ballpark HR ratings, or hitter-pitcher card rolls.
This was an ATG8 theme league with old-time pitchers and modern hitters. I added an additional theme to my team for kicks, grabbing hitters in the same modern family. My team:
https://365.strat-o-matic.com/team/1505163THE FATHER: Bobby Bonds
1969 season 39 home runs
Strat season 37 home runs
Strat – first 126 games: 25 home runs
Strat – final 36 games: 12 home runs
THE SON: Barry Bonds
2004 season 45 home runs
Strat season 49 home runs
Strat – first 126 games: 49 home runs
Strat – final 36 games: 0 home runs
Did some kind of correction kick in to up Bobby’s HR’s and cap Barry’s HR’s? Can 2004 Bonds card really go the final 36 games (approximately 150 plate appearances) without a single home run?
