Did Strat fix the DH glitch?

For years, listing a starting player as the backup for another position has worked except if the starting player is listed as your starting DH. For instance, if you list your starting first baseman as your backup rightfielder and your starting rightfielder is injured, your normal first basemen will start in rightfield in subsequent games; however if you list your starting DH as your backup RF and your starting RF is injured, your normal DH will not start in RF. Has this been corrected, or is this still a shortcoming?

If you have a DH backup listed that is not in the lineup somewhere else, the normal DH will move to the sub position.
Try to avoid the DH backup being listed as a backup at other positions if you can--multiple injuries still freeze the DH to that spot in lineup sometimes.

milleram and others,
I'm asking the other way around. Here's my example in 2019 (lineup vs LHP):
RF
Starter: Aaron Judge
Backup: Mark Canha
DH:
Starter: Mark Canha
Backup: Pat Valaika
When Judge is injured, will Canha start in RF and Valaika at DH, or will HAL keep Canha at DH?

Yes Canha will move to RF and Valaika will DH.
but beware listing Valaika as subs at 1b and 2B also for example--multiple injuries can cause HAL/AI brain farts.
