Ballpark homerun rolls question

Here's a newbie question related to # ball park home run effects.

Let's say the dice roll of 2-10 is:
#10-HR 1-8
fly (lf) B 11-20

Does the 20 sided dice get used on the ball park for the entire 2-10 roll to determine whether this is a home run or flyball B? Or is this a 2 step 20 sided dice roll outcome, ie if the first 20 sided dice roll is 9-20 it's an out; if the first 20 sided dice roll is 1-8, then do a 2nd 20 sided dice roll to determine if it's a homerun or flyball b based on the ballpark.

I'm assuming the correct answer is the former, ie the 20 sided dice get used on the ball park for the entire 2-10 roll to determine whether this is a home run or flyball B.

Thanks.

The former is correct... although I'm not 100% sure that the non-homerun result is a flyball B (though it certainly makes sense that way.) But yes, if there's a # then the computer goes straight to the 20-sided die and checks the ballpark.

Ignore the printed result on card with a # sign in front--and just use the ballpark HR info.

The printed HR/fly-b splits are for CD rom or old fashioned dice and card leagues that doesn't use ballpark effects--actually on the physical printed cards they are black diamonds instead of # sign--I guess that symbol is not available in the computer font.

Thanks for the responses. I thought so, but wanted to verify before my first draft.
