Relievers +250 innings

I thought this was supposed to be solved ? I am watching Scott Williamson 1999 R3/C2 throw 8 innings every 3 games when needed. On pace for close to 300 innings. How is this good for the game ?

So Scott Williamson who threw 94 real life innings is suddenly as valuable as the best starting pitchers who throw 250 innings ?

The guys in our league stubbled upon this R3 thing. We are all fairly new and the manager in our league is technically doing nothing wrong -- however my own personal feeling is i sure wish this was not allowed or prevented by the online game.

I can only speak for mystery leagues, but the "problem" is not solved for all player sets. It is not solved for mystery leagues.

I believe the new bullpen rules have only been put in with the 2019 year (and will be for later years) and ATG9.

Is that winning or whining strategy?
Both are part of the toolkit of the Strat manager...

Yes. The innings have to be pitched by somebody.

Understanding that this same is a simulation and not a recreation... i.e. Mark Mcguire can hit 100 homers if home games at Coors field and you have two other teams in your division who use coors as a home field...

However the relief pitching is a problem -- it causes a devaluation of starting pitching. You are shutting off a HUGE part of the game by shutting down starting pitching. i.e. never buying a starter over 2MM dollars.

i guess it should just be left to individual leagues to govern it as they see fit.

PS...I don't consider this stumbling onto a winning strategy as its all over the message boards.
