newbie questionb

PostThu Feb 04, 2021 8:25 am

Good day everyone -
I can't find any newbie question forum indexes, but,
without violating the rules, are there any forums (this one is dead http://www.stratfanforum.com/forums/)
where I can ask about stratomatic board games ?
I am looking to purchase one, and have a few questions before I spend on one.
My sincere thanks !
Al.

The forum you mentioned is actually alive and well! You do need to sign up with a certain type of email address (it can't be a free one like gmail.) But that's definitely the place to ask questions about the board game. (You can ask here, but you might not get the answers you need, because we all play the online version-- which, by the way, is awesome!)

I may piggy back this thread - I wasn't aware of the forum as well, as I'm new to SOM. I understand it won't take public emails like gmail. But I only have a yahoo email and a Apple email (ends in me.com), neither takes. I sent them a question.

Also, the online version - will it work on Macs? or Windows only?

When I say "online version", I'm specifically talking about Strat-O-Matic 365. It's just a website, so your operating system won't matter.

Then there's the PC version of the board game... It's designed for Windows, but I think there's a way to play it on a Mac. Not positive on that.
