Bowa Card Error??

I have Bowa in the 70's. and noticed what I believe is a error on his card. Wondering if others have noticed this before, and if we understand the source of the error.

Bowa's 79 season properly shows his stats from 79. Zero homers, 11 triples. But if you look at the actual card, he has a homer against both RHP and LHP. Only a slight chance for a triple vs RHP. I went back in previous seasons to find a example when someone had 79, and that season produced 2 triples and 4 homers.

Does anyone know the source of the error? Are the cards for the 79 season actually representing a different season?

This has come up before. There is some discussion of it in the Mystery chat. Mostly speculation of which season is actually represented, but agreement that it isn't 1979.
