60's playoffs for komodos069 - Roger Maris

HR in game 1
HR in game 2 and went 5 for 5
3 HR's in game 3
No HR's in game 4 (must have been sick) but went 2 for 4
HR in game 5 and they won the series

Championship
2 HR's in game 1 going 3 for 3 with 2 walks
HR in game 2

Playoff stats - 16 for 27 (.593 batting average) with 19 rbi's, 2 doubles, 2 triples, 9 HR's, 4 BB's. OPS of 2.460. He had 34 HR's in the regular season.

At least 3 more games to go. Oh, and this is playing in Shea Stadium with the opponent (me) in DC Stadium. Semi opponent had Busch.

My 80's team was shutout 3 times last night: 3-0, 1-0 walk-off Kruk double in the 12th, and 1-0 walk-off Kruk homer in the 9th. So I did the only rational thing and made no changes to my roster. What's Einstein's definition of insanity?

Does collective ineptitude count?
I have a few good teams going and one not so good, but wasn't expecting to lose my 60's game 7 in the finals AND go 1-8 in the other leagues. Ughh

I was outscored 48-9 in a 90s series last night. With Pedro Martinez starting one of the games.

That is hard to do.

At the 70s trade deadline we picked up Norm Cash, and were pleasantly surprised to get his 1961 card.

Nomar Garciaparra of my 90s New Castle Zambelli GoBoom hits walk-off 3-run homers in the bottom of the 9th of consecutive games… off the same relief pitcher, Alan Mills, who was making his first 2 appearances of the season. And the 2nd one came in a game where the Zambelli GoBoom were down 6-0 in the bottom of the 9th, with none on and 2 outs: https://365.strat-o-matic.com/game/477837/226

Is this Noteworthy?
In the 90s, through 54 games, Chipper Jones has the most at bats against LHP on the team with only 41!
Team as a whole has faced RHP 79.6% of the time so far.

It’s certainly odd… maybe even bizarre… so I say yes, it’s noteworthy!

Grumpy Beavers Dan Petry no-hit the Generals in game 130 last night

Game 131 saw the Generals Mark Gubicza no-hit the Beavers

MLB had this happen Sept 17 and 18, 1968 -- when Gaylord Perry (Giants) and Ray Washburn (Cards) no-hit each other on consecutive days.
