Oops. Thanks for the correction. Yes, 2 first place votes for the 90s and no second place votes for the 60s would result in a tie. I suggest that if there are any ties in the final vote tally, we should revote on the ties only. (unless there is already a tie-breaking rule).

My votes:

1st choice (80s), 2nd choice (90s);
$80 mil;
DH, except no DH for 60s;
message board draft;
No unique stadiums;
repeat stadiums ok;
seeded divisions

So, it will be the 60s, 80 mil, no DH, and no limitations on selecting a stadium.

The only remaining question is: "live" message board draft or autodraft?

Unique stadiums is currently split 5-yes, 7-no.

Draft - 6-autodraft / 6-message board draft

Decades
60s - 13 votes (no DH has won)
70s - 2 vote
80s - 9 votes
90s - 12 votes (DH has won)

now we could use a commissioner ruling. The choice of draft is a tie. The 60s and 90s are only one vote different. I am not commissioner; but, if I were commissioner, I would suggest we have a short debate on autodraft vs message board draft to see if anyone changes their mind. If someone changed their mind in favor of message board draft, then I also suggest a revote on unique stadiums because stadiums could be drafted during the message board player draft; in other words, I think unique stadiums go well with a "live" draft but do not go well with an autodraft, and some autodraft voters might feel the same.

Nonetheless, I am not commissioner. So, I will attempt to shut up and let others step forward. Perhaps brooks will step in. On the other hand, I am ancy to start, and if people want me to take over as commissioner, then I would try to lead a message board discussion on proceeding to make a tournament finals that people think is enjoyable and fair. But, again, I am not the commissioner, so, even though I post too much, I don't have any more authority than anyone else in the finals.

I love message board draft. It wont take much longer. Will be fun to construct your team with knowledge of player pool left. Wont get stuck with a lefty when you want a righty. Why let Hal make decision for managers. Why should luck of whether you get guy you want with randomizer drive managers of such mystery skill? The strategy of whether to show your hand with ball park when we know the divisions is intriguing. C'mon you guys are some of the best managers in the game you should relish the challenge. Opportunity to do something a little different. Autodrafts are what you do ALL the time. I also nominate Franky as sub commissioner for this league. IMHO

Was tempted to say "no preference" on this, but voted for auto-draft so as not to be the cause of delays.
I will be travelling a lot during the several weeks, and will not necessarily connect to the Internet every single day (could easily be one or two 48-hour, even 72-hour gaps between logins). So there's no guarantee that I will be able to make all my picks promptly in a message board draft.

Otherwise, I am fine with either type of draft.

I just don't like the live draft and enjoy the anticipation of the autodraft results. In any case, if Barkeeper is serious than in my opinion it would be very boring to have to wait two or three days between picks.

If we had a message board draft, I would suggest a fixed end time. For example, suppose we agreed that the message board draft would end June 13, Monday night at 11:59 PM, plus completing any picks needed so that the draft ends with an even number of draft picks. Then, if the draft is at round 9, pick 7 by June 13, the draft continues through to round 10, pick 12. The rest is completed by autodraft. That is what we did last year (I think we got through 12 rounds).

I agree with WoodyMoody about the autodraft. I also think there is skill in understanding which players are coveted and ordering them properly in the draft. Yes, you get jammed with some players you don't want, don't fit your plan, but that adds another element of skill of adjusting on the fly and making changes to your team. Plus in the mystery cards, you really aren't entirely sure what you are getting. In an ATG league I could understand the desire for the live draft since you know exactly what you are getting with each pick.

That being said, I will change my vote to live draft if we can agree on a hard end date so that it doesn't drag on too long and we can finish the remaining rounds through autodraft if need be.

Also, is there anyway I can sway any of you to unique stadiums? I think that can add some extra intrigue to the draft.
