not making this up- there was a fire in my office building yesterday. Everyone is fine, but it was hectic.

The point of passing- being 1st means I am also 24th, which is a big gap. Certain positions are very tight. So, for example, if there was a run on a certain position, I might want to grab someone in that position. i.e. I go first and by 24, there are no good 2B, SS, C, 3B or CF left, I could have avoided that and waited. Also, there are a number of guys I would have on equal footing, so I would not normally care if I had 1st pick or 6th pick. As you are about to see, I doubt my first pick would have been anyone else's first pick...
