2017 Mystery Tourney - Final 12 Voting

This has been challenging. I've been checking for the last few hours,knowing that I'm 2 picks away, but now I'm going to be OOP and not be able to check in again until later tonight.

I wouldn't be averse to a live draft - or switching to autodraft after 4 rounds.

couldn't you send me (or someone else that frequently checks the boards) a proxy for at least one pick? I really don't get this proxy paranoia.

NO PROXIES, advantages are advantages....even if they seem small.

If someone selected after me and sent me their pick, who is to say that was not the person i was going to draft
If someone selected before me and sent me their pick, I now gain knowledge of players who will not be available when i pick
AND if ONE manager keeps receiving other's picks, might as well gift this championship to that person....because the knowledge you would be working from would dwarf us....you could cater the perfect team knowing what picks are coming up....

Live draft yes, pick a time and day and I will clear the schedule. ALOT easier to clear 1 day for a couple hours than 2 weeks of on and off checking boards I do not participate on.

Actually Proxies work very well and there's no advantage to be had. Daveaq is going to be tied up the rest of the night. So let's say he PM's his primary and secondary picks to Franky. Franky will fill in his pick after Great Unwashed. If Unwashed doesn't take either of the players that Daveaq proxied, then Dave can select his 2nd pick in Round 4. There is no advantage to knowing that someone will not be available. We'll all find out. Heck...in the first round I knew Yount, Schmidt, and Brett were going to be picked. I had no advantage from knowing that.

Since I am the only one who thinks Proxies are "insider trading" because it is information not all of us have access too....here is the scenario, not hypothetical...

All three of my picks so far were taken the pick right before me.....and IF i knew there would be a run at ss right after my first pick, then I would have taken one......that is not hypothetical, that is THIS draft. If i had knowledge, any at all of others picks, i would be drafting accordingly.....explain how this is fair to the rest of us????

the only FOR reason i hear is convenience of drafting faster??? ...um, live draft??

and who doesn't know those 3 picks would go....they are the 3 best players in the set....really man? THAT was your counter?

please do not be offended if this comes off as me pissed off, im not, just overly curious as to where my flaw in logic is.....

I agree that with mastermosser that proxies should not be used in this draft. The vote was to draft using the board, now 2 days in, people are getting antsy that the draft is not moving quickly enough.

I knew that I would be unable to make picks during the day because of work commitments, so I voted for autodraft. I will do my best to make my picks as they come due - I watch the board on the weekend and each evening, so I don't envision any issues.

I'm sure that no one in this league wants to cheat. Let me propose something. After Mastermosser's round 4 pick, I will send my proxies for rounds 4 and 5 to Mastermosser and betthemax and they will either get a competitive advantage or they will see how useless that information is. I am sure it is the latter.
