I know it's early (9 games!) but Warren Spahn is 3-0 with a .455/500/1.000 hitting slash line.

Very nice! I tried to draft him myself but did not get him.

Speaking about pitchers hitting prowess check out Lew Burdette so far for the
Carbon County Crusaders.
5 for 6, 3 runs, 2 homeruns and 3 rbi's. Can I set Hal to just walk him

Those are some very impressive stats!
Here is Milty Pappas, not quite as impressive but batting .571 !
http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/team/1393187As a matter of fact my starting pitchers have 14 hits in 15 games.

Willie Mays of Brent65 in League #6 for the Cherokee Chiefs is my early vote. He is hitting .403 with 10 homers, 27 rbi's and 3 game winning rbi's. I instructed my pitchers to pitch around him. Two of my starters listened, one did not and allowed two homers in the opening series. One pitcher is no longer with the team.

I now vote for Willie Mays for MVP in both my 60's and 70's
60's - Brent65's Cherokee Chiefs Willie Mays stats - .362, 78 runs (the next best in the league is 53!!), 31 homers, 76 rbi's
70's - Lee300's Flatbush Hacksaws Willie Mays stats - .427, 29 runs, 11 homers, 31 rbi's
Incredibly, the 70's Mays is on pace to outperform the 60's Mays.
