With 9 games to go in the 60's leagues, here are the close races which I have defined as within 3 games of the playoffs with a chance to win the tie-breaker:

League 4 - davehaller is up 2 for the wild card over unclerowser
League 5 - waynick is up 2 for the West over MichaelGrammas
League 6 - Rosie2167 is up 3 over Brent78 in the West
League 8 - the closest of them all. Supersore is up 1 in the central over larkline but larkline is also in a three way tie for the wild card with Jack377 and Delbird. Spider67 is only 1 game out of the wild card.
League 9 - The wild card race is a tie between The Conndor and JoeBob_33

These are huge in the final point count because of the bonus points you can earn in the playoffs. The biggest division leads are by voovits and jomboy78, both up 25 games. Good luck.

To say that winning the wild-card in League 9 is vital for me... well, that is a vast understatement. Although the 70s is usually my strongest decade, my 70s tourney team is an abject disaster at 21 games below .500, and my 80s team isn't off to a great start either.

Also, I want to be fair to a 3rd competitor: Dscire2929 still has an outside shot at the wild card, 3 games behind myself and JoeBob33 with 9 games to play. All 3 of us have already been eliminated, or practically so, from divisional title contention. Props to both JoeBob33 and Dscire2929, who hung around closely enough when my team went through a great run around 20-30 games ago, and caught back up since.

It looks like two races in the 60's had comebacks in the last 9 games to make the playoffs. In league 4, unclerowser won two of three on the last night to win the wild card. And in league 8, Spider67 jumped into a tie with two others and wins the tie-breaker to head to the playoffs. Good luck to everyone in the 60's playoffs.

Sometimes you can squeak into the playoffs and then win the championship. In the 60's, Spider67 did just that and shot up to #15 in the overall standings.

Yep. Some days (or strings of days) you're just lucky.

League 4 - David Sunderman is 2 games up over Dbacks in the Central
5 - Rube is 1 game up over bmilner in the Central
6 - Phila01 is 2 games up over Hallerose in the WC (but is 5-16 hth and faces them one more series)
7 - samh0711 is 2 games up over killermarc in the Central
8 - unclerowser is in the tight fight again, tied with Rosie 2167 in one of those amazing races where the teams are 76-80
9 - sphilipp8 is up 1 game over pushpin76 in a battle of two owner near the top of the board
9 - pushpin76 is 2 games up in the WC over BG1217 but BG has the tie break over both
10 - mducharme is 2 games up over daveaq31 in the East
10 - daveaq31 is 1 game up over dubluc in the wild card
11 - geronimobuffalo and mwpkd3 are all tied up in the East

Wow, there seems to be races for playoff spots in 8 of the 11 leagues with one night to go

League 1 - djkalle is ahead by 3 games over jomboy78. No hth matchp but jomboy (24-7 in last 31) would have tie-breaker
2 - jcheney is ahead by 2 games over ny mets, up by 1 run in tie-breaker
5 - Rube and bmilner are tied in the Central
6 - Phila01 is 1 up over Hallerose and 2 up over exwallman in the WC
7 - samh0711 is 2 games up over killermarc in the Central
9 - sphilipp8 is tied with pushpin76 and they are one up on VilleBowler300
9 - BG1217 and Spider67 two behind these guys in the WC race
10 - mducharme is 3 games up over daveaq31 and dubluc in the East
10 - DGF102052 is 2 behind daveaq31 and dubluc in the wild card
11 - geronimobuffalo and mwpkd3 are all tied up in the East
11 - I think andysiny has a long shot chance to catch Rigged Splits in the WC but is 3 behind and need to gain 13 runs in run differential

Should be an exciting night.

The leader in leagues 1 & 2 did make it in.

Rube swept to get to the playoffs in league #5.

Phila01 holds off exwallman and his 7 game win streak by one game in League 6.

samh0711 also hangs onto lead.

sphilipp8 and pushpin76 do hang in league 9 in a very close race.

mducharme and daveaq31 also get in.

In League 11, mwpkd wins the East.
