My vote is for the Tuscumbia Termites owned by pushpin76 in 80's league 9. They are currently 86-40. 12 of their 13 hitters have at least 14 homers. They have hit 325 homers with another 36 games to play. Slugging % = .555 . Currently, they are on a 26-5 run.

I know jomboy has a similar record with his team in the 80's. Anyone seen a team that can match up to the Termites?

You gotta give credit to the Termites for finding the right players. Jomboy's Sound hasn't made one move, never seen that in a mystery card game. Would pay to see that series!

my vote is former tournament champ Moodywoody's 60s team from League 7 that finished with 337 homeruns - more than 100 more than anybody else. Mays (62 HR), Aaron (64 HR), Lee May (66 HR) and Dick Allen (57 HR) plus he managed to get 200 innings from Perranoski (12-5, 47 saves to only 7 blown saves). Injuries in the 60s playoffs robbed him of a title and might (or might not) keep him out of the final 12 in the overall tournament.

I don't know if Id pay to see that series. He lives on the north side of Tuscumbia. I live on the south side. Plus he is my brother. We played those 80s sets so much back in the day it would bore everybody to death to see it.

Update on the Termites. My team beat them two out of three (all one run games), they lost their next game but now have reeled off 14 wins in a row to already be at 101 wins with 18 games to play. They have 364 homers. Can they reach 400?

Termites finish 111-51 with 401 homers and 1,065 runs scored.
