Ooops! Thanks for noticing. By random selection, I have moveed Pdixon0101 to league 11 for event 2. The chart is adjusted.

Tournament page states 2/10 for the entry date for event two. Is that accurate or are we shooting for an earlier load date?

Yes, we are shooting for an earlier load date. I regard feb 10 as the straggler date for people that are travelling or can't otherwise load earlier. I would like to load teams ASAP and have leagues filling as soon as possible on or after this Saturday February 4.

Traditionally in this tournament, I think it's accurate to say that the closer was the person that was entrusted with making sure that the league had the right (assigned) entries before closing it.

While that is still one of the roles of being a closer, I am also wanting to make sure that the leagues don't **accidentally** close too early - ie. before the Saturday that falls before the event deadline.

I am strongly encouraging all participants to load their teams as soon as possible after the leagues are assigned. To be blunt, this makes my job as commissioner ***much*** easier. Being commish isn't generally easy, so if anything can make this job easier, it is really important. So please load your teams in the ***correct*** leagues as soon as you possibly can! This is a big big thank you from me for doing this!!!

But with teams loading early (thank you again!), it is important for the closers to make sure that the leagues don't fill too early. Thanks to the closers for doing this!

I have appointed 2 closers (instead of the traditional 1 closer) to avoid the very unfortunate event of people loading into the wrong leagues and closing (i.e. filling) them at the same time! This happened at least one, maybe twice, last year, with the unfortunate and unfair result of the closers being shut-out of their own assigned leagues! With 2 closers, this is much less likely to happen.

Ken, as a "closer" I believe you will want to wait until the other 10 teams in your league have loaded before you load your team. If you load on Saturday and then an incorrect 12th team loads after that, the league will be created with the wrong participants. I am suggesting that everyone start posting messages in their Event 1 leagues to get the word out to start loading Event 2 this Saturday.

Thanks for the follow up. By verifying and closing, I meant that I will verify on Saturday that the 10 other teams are correct and co-ordinate with mesquiton to post the 11th and 12th teams.
