2019 Mystery Tournament Parameters and Sign ups

The deadline for signing up for the 2019 Mystery Tournament is Monday January 21st. By signing up you are making a four season commitment. The rules are the same as last year and the sign-up is at the end of this thread.

The only difference from last year is the 70s league will not be using the DH this year.
Here is a list of the key dates for the tournament:
Monday January 21st - Deadline to join 2019 Mystery Tournament
Monday January 21st - 60s leagues membership will be randomly generated and leagues created
Saturday January 26th - Non-closers must join their assigned 60s league before this date, closers must NOT join before this date
Monday February 4th - Opening Day for the 60s leagues
Monday February 4th - 70s leagues membership will be randomly generated and leagues created
Saturday February 9th - Non-closers must join their assigned 70s league before this date, closers must NOT join before this date
Monday February 18th - Opening Day for the 70s leagues
Monday February 25th - 80s leagues membership will be randomly generated and leagues created
Saturday March 2nd - Non-closers must join their assigned 80s league before this date, closers must NOT join before this date
Monday March 11th - Opening Day for the 80s leagues
Monday March 11th - 90s leagues membership will be randomly generated and leagues created
Saturday March 16th - Non-closers must join their assigned 90s league before this date, closers must NOT join before this date
Monday March 25th - Opening Day for the 90s leagues
Other miscellaneous notes: New players are welcome in the tournament! Veterans will generally be glad to get you quickly up to speed in playing the mystery format - so just ask! You'll be playing like a pro in no time. A random number generator will be used to assign each manager to a 12 team league and this will be done for each decade so you play against mostly different managers in each decade. The roll out of the 60s will probably be a little less smooth than usual so we will need a big pool of fillers and if there are 12 remaining, they will form one league. As usual, rules for the Finals will be voted on by the 12 finalists; in the event of a tie vote, finalists will have 24 hours to change their vote to break the tie and an unresolved tie will result in the rule from the previous year's finals. Paranoia in the finals is strongly discouraged and proxies will be allowed in a message board draft.
