Hallerose wins MCT Championship!

Congratulations to MCT legend hallerose on his long-awaited and well-deserved first MCT Championship!

The Heroes defeated my Bohemian team in a fun and exciting 6-game FInals World Series. Much like Game 5, in Game 6, the Bohemians fell victim to the heroics of a player pressed into duty due to injury. David Dellucci, filling in for the oft-injured Carlos Quentin, doubled, tripled, homered, and drove in four runs to support the stellar pitching of Cole Hamels. (In 94 regular season at bats, Dellucci hit .177.) In the 9th inning, with the Heroes ahead 5-3 and runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 out, Matt Thornton induced Jeff Bagwell (7 HR, 14 RBI in the postseason) to ground out to close out the game and the series. Break out the goggles and the bubbly, the Heroes are champs!

Luis Gonzalez blasted 63 HR with 140 RBI in the regular season and followed it up with 9 HR and 21 RBI in 13 postseason games!

Congrats to hallerose! To call him a deserved champion doesn't even begin to describe how fitting it is that he is finally crowned as the champion of this tournament.

congratulations to hallerose for a well-deserved championship after so many times in the finals' playoffs. Beat my team in 7 in the first round of the playoffs and then won the world series despite being down by a couple of injuries. Same winning formula as every one of his teams - a lineup full of sluggers in a home run stadium plus good starting pitching. With hallerose now a champion that leaves sphilipp as the one consistently great Mystery player without a title.
