The dual franchise concept is great for Daily Leagues because the burden of keeping up with the changes in the usual leagues where you can draft any player not in use by another league team from any real-life team is daunting. It's likely that anybody w/o copious amounts of free time to pour over the free agents and make numerous transactions is not going to be able to compete. The dual-franchise system greatly reduces the options available while still leaving room for the "wheeling and dealing" and everything else rhat makes the game fun.
So, if you've wanted to try a Daily but have been put off by the complexity, please come join this new Daily league and see how you like it. I think you will.

Strat-O-Matic 365 Daily Dual Franchise League – 2025 Edition
Each manager will select a franchise pair from the list of still available pairings below: (Note: I loosening up the pairings to facilitate the filling of the league, keeping the win total below 170) Please check what teams have already been chosen before choosing and drafting your team:
Franchise Pairings still available (will update, but check teams already entered):
1.Tigers/Braves, 2. Dodgers/Marlins, 3. Astros/Royals, 4. Phils/Twins, 5. Cubs/Guardians, 6. Yanks/D'Backs,
7.X Mets/Rangers X, 8. Brewers/Red Sox, 9. Cards/Angels, 10. Rays/Marlins, 11. Padres/Reds, 12. Giants/Jays
I will accept any other team pairing, actually, as along as the combined win total is below 170. Be sure the pairing is obvious from the name of your team and you are not using an already chosen team.
X= already taken, but also double check.
Pairs already taken:
Mets/Rangers
Unused Teams (Available for Free Agent Pool or Swap Rule*)
Orioles, White Sox, A's, Nationals, Pirates, Rockies
League Rules:
Managers must only draft players from the two franchises in their chosen pair. Any player not drafted but who belongs to the pair will act as a reserve/minor league player for that franchise. Managers can freely add/drop between their roster and these reserves as long as they have the cash to do so.
Your team name must clearly reflect your chosen franchise pair (e.g., “AstroTwins”, “BrewJays”). This helps prevent drafting errors and confusion.
Before drafting, double-check that the franchise pair you want hasn't already been selected by another manager. Each pair may only be used by one team.
Managers must use the home ballpark of one of their two franchises.
Each team is allowed to add one player from the unused teams during the initial waiver period. That player becomes part of your franchise and can be promoted/demoted like any other player. At the midpoint of the season (after Game 81), managers may pick up one additional free agent from the remaining unused pool. Free agents can be swapped out for other available free agents at any point. Just be sure you have only one on you roster at any time before game 81 and a max of 2 after game 81.
Trades are permitted. However, once a player is traded to another franchise, they permanently become part of that franchise’s pool, just like in real life.
If a player is traded in real life and this is reflected in the Strat-O-Matic player card designations, the Strat game roster takes precedence,
