Here's a plug for the 1999 McGriff TB card. The nomination is all about getting some help for the Rays and McGriff would be a big lefty bat for a franchise sorely in need of more hitters.

Also, the Crime Dog shouldn't be limited to just the San Diego franchise, in my opinion.

He won't be a Pirate. Many Louisville players like Clarke and Wagner were purchased from Louisville by the Pirates when Barney Dreyfuss, former Louisville owner, bought controlling stock in the Pirates. So Louisville Colonels weren’t subsumed by Pittsburgh Pirates, but Pirates bought many Louisville players when Louisville ceased operations.

A big typo was made in posting the calculation 1962 Al Kaline's batting average on his card against righties by -100 points that could negatively impact his voting results:

The typo is in red bold large font below:

1962 Al Kaline Tigers, RF 1(-4)e6 Bats R .304 29 94 .376 .593 .969 Career high in HR, SLG & OPS. Won the 5th of 10 career Gold Gloves.
LH--8.3 2b, 1.2 3b, 10.5 HR, 22 BB 346/479/837, 1.316 OPS
RH--7.7 2b, 2.6 3b, 11.8 HR, 9 BB 251/405/836, 1.241 OPS

The correction is in blue bold large font below:

1962 Al Kaline Tigers, RF 1(-4)e6 Bats R .304 29 94 .376 .593 .969 Career high in HR, SLG & OPS.
LH--8.3 2b, 1.2 3b, 10.5 HR, 22 BB 346/479/837, 1.316 OPS
RH--7.7 2b, 2.6 3b, 11.8 HR, 9 BB 351/405/836, 1.241 OPS

Anyway, here's a link to the 1962 Kaline card from the '60s game. A picture is worth a thousand words:

I hope the -100 point error in Kaline's batting average card chances against righties gets corrected every place that it is posted, as that 1962 Kaline card with the extra HR power would be a nice addition to the ATG card set.

Thanks Bernie. It’s fixed. I’d encourage everyone to look at the opening post on this thread for card information. I’ll try to make sure all the info there is correct.

Thank you Andy for all the time you put in and all the work you do to provide voters with the most relevant and accurate info. I especially like the card comparisons, which give everyone a frame of reference.

P.S.: When you get time, could you update Michael Brantley's CF arm to -2? It is currently incorrectly listed at -1.

Brantley corrected in the poll and the associated stats. Thanks for the catch.

And another thanks to Andy for all of the supporting efforts in this process.

yes, agreed- very helpful to anyone reading em - especially with comparisons to current cards-
that's where the real juice is on if getting the player makes any actual differences or more/less of the same.

and I don't want to give you any more work - but if anyone would like to make a comparison to current cards stats already in the set for those that are new player cards, that wouldn't be the worst thing either.
