Thanks for your help and keep up the good work.

I believe it is the 1974 card in the ATG set.
Oh, you're right Bill! Good catch. I must be losing it! I meant to ask Andy to compare the nominated 1977 card to the current 1974 card. That's what I get for being in a hurry!

Here's the nominated 1977 Soderholm card compared to the current 1974 Soderholm card:

1977 Eric Soderholm, CWS, Bats-R, 3L Balance, 3b-2e11, 15 Game INJ Risk
LH—2b-2.5, 3b-1.6, HR-12.9, BB-12, 359/442/831, 1.273 OPS
RH—2b-4.3, 3b-0, HR-7.8, BB-8, 296/361/577, .938 OPS
Current 1974 Eric Soderholm, MIN, $1.98m Bats-R, 2R Balance, 3b-2e21, SS-4e48, 15 Game INJ Risk
LH--2b-0.8, 3b-1.5, HR-1.25, BB-8, 251/320/328, .648 OPS
RH--2b-4.6, 3b-0.2, HR-2.75, BB-14, 327/426/471, .897 OPS

Backstory on 1951 Sam Jethroe--The Jet was also at that infamous tryout the Boston Red Sox gave to Jackie Robinson. Like Robinson and the other Negro Leaguers there, Jethroe wasn't signed. He was a speedy switch-hitting Outfielder who could do it all in the Negro Leagues. He's the man who integrated the Boston Braves and Boston baseball in 1950. By the time he was given a chance at the majors, he was already 33, but still led the NL in steals in 1950 and 1951.
He was the 1950 Rookie of the Year, but his nominated 1951 card was better.

That is the definition of someone who should be in an ATG set.

People, READ THE STATS BEFORE YOU VOTE. Make sure you are as informed as possible. The blurbs on the actual poll are many times nothing more than commercials of promotion from the various nominators.
