Braves POST & EXP Needs
EXP-Braves are weak at 2b(Lemke) & SS(Blauser)--Marcus Giles, Furcal if his defense isn't terrible, etc
EXP-the Exp Braves in general are tilted heavy to LH pitching---need some bats stronger against RHP-maybe 04 JD Drew? 98 Klesko?
POST-a better Joe Adcock to play 1b, one that isn't a 4 INJ risk, maybe 1961
POST- a better SS---1955 Johnny Logan is better than ones in the set, provided his defense isn't poor
POST-CF--Felipe Alou can play it as a 2, may have a better CF option--Bill Bruton's best season is 1960 not in set--what about the 1951 Sam Jethroe, only played 3 MLB seasons but a NeL great as well, don't know about defense

BRAVES PREWAR needs
Prewar Braves are weak offensively
RP--as most, needs depth and improvement
1b-- If could add a couple corner OF, the 1931 Wally Berger in set could fill this need
2b--1940 Bama Rowell if acceptable defense, 1936 Tony Cuccinello if acceptable defense, 1921 Hod Ford if acceptable defense
3b--1938 Debs Garms, no card, also plays LF, batted .315
CF--1937 Vince DiMaggio, or possibly 1938; looking for a 1 in CF
RF--1945 Tommy Holmes, 1923 Billy Southworth

A few early ideas for additional Braves:

1/ Wally Berger. 1933 season. Arguably his best season (172 ops+). A RH hitter who hits righties better than southpaws, but with the '33 season Berger could play against lefties (probably a 3R). The Pre War Braves need hitting and this would be an excellent addition.

2/ Chipper Jones. 1998 season. Okay, not the monster seasons we have already, but a nice all-around season that would allow lower caps to use Jones. http://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/583/1690/1/90 A 3R with all his power on the rhp side -- though probably needs Fulton to give him all of his power.

3/ Andruw Jones. 2000 or 2002 season. Not the stupendous 2005 season we have, but either season would be an interesting choice. The 2002 season has a pronounced RHP slant (5/6R? -- right hand hitters who hit righties are always welcome), in the 2000 season there is more power against righties, more patience against lefties. And it looks as if Jones hit better away than at home which might make his card less BP hr dependent. And that wonderful defense!

Current players promoted for vote, Andy please confirm as there has been some additional suggestions since you sent those over.

RP - Mark Wohlers, 1995
LF/1B - Ryan Klesko, 1999

Other Braves already on the list:
Terry Pendleton, 1991, MVP
Otis Nixon, 1991

FYI - I have Andy as the only Braves Ambassador. Anyone else care to officially step up?

tks
Rosie

Phil Niekro 1967. It's better than his 1969 card.
