For what it's worth, beyond adding the best years of Mickey Vernon and Buddy Lewis (noted in previous posts), the only way to improve the pre-1961 Senators franchise seem to be:

'27 Tris Speaker .327, .389, .444 (age 39)
'28 Garland Braxton 13-11, 2.51. 1.012 (could be used as a closer and not represented)
'53 Jim Busby .312, .358, .429 (major upgrade)
'42 Stan Spence .323, .384, .452 (bulletproof and a MAJOR upgrade)
'45 Roger Wolff 20-10, 2.12, 1.012 (not represented)
'52 Bob Porterfield 22-10, 3.48, 1.236 (Major upgrade)

All except Speaker were multi-year Senators

Rosie, it is hard to answer your polls. Like everybody else, I need to quibble over this one.

I'd love to see:
- Players who are not represented
- Players who are poorly represented (adding a second card for them)
- Players who add a missing element to a particular franchise

And I would NOT want to see:
- The 3rd or 4th or 5th card for a given player, or
- More amazing stars to bulk up franchises that are already awesome

In some later round, we somehow need to figure out how to add the most useful $3 mil to $5 mil bench players -- which is probably a lot trickier to do!

What we need badly are more cheap bench players and cheap one-way relievers for the lower cap leagues

As has been requested over the years, both on the boards and by emailing Strat directly, simply adding the World Series teams in their entirety would be a very easy way of including players across the salary spectrum. It seems Rosie communicates in a manner that Strat finds appealing, so maybe now with Rosie's support we can get traction on this.

Yes I've confirmed that SOM will support adding whole teams if we want, I've just steered us away from that option this time around with so many other priorities. The only hiccup with adding teams though is for the future 25 card adds, one team would consume our whole card allocation.

A professional pollster I am not. The polls were meant to take a pulse of the community not definitively determine the direction, my apologies to all if this is creating any confusion. What I do like is the constructive comments it has generated by folks like you tcochran and others.

Whole teams doesn't address the problem anyway. We need more under .60 relievers like Sambito (there I said his name, I'm sure almost everyone has him on their draft card). We need more under .80 bench options. The last time they added a few whole teams, there was not one usable player in these categories

There is still a wide variety of star players I haven't even used yet, but I almost always end up with the same group of scrubs filling out the roster

You'll notice we have a new forum dedicated to ATG Card Discussions. I'm working to get these strings moved. Ambassadors, as you start your specific ERA or Franchise topic please do so in that Forum, thanks.

I'm not all that excited about using very many of the limited amount of card adds on .50 and .75 scrubs...I can always find plenty of cheap bench players to fill out a roster...even in a 45m cap league...

Pleading for some Rays (we have one card!) - Strat should add the 2008 Rays w/o counting against the 50...
Players we don't have at all...
Good players with weak cards in the set (Fritz Peterson comes to mind)
Let's get some good cards from the mystery sets added to ATG...
Players MVP seasons (looking for 1976 Thurman Munson)

Thanks,
Bill

No one signed up for the Astros. I'd like to propose a few nominations for them.
