Hey Rosie, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think I saw a post from you saying how many new ATG cards we're getting this time around. So, how many new cards are we getting? Are we getting the same amount of new cards regardless of whether there are 100 nominations?

I thought it was 25. I am open to being wrong, however.

Fellow ATG caretakers - We currently have the commitment of SOM to add 125 (yes 125 as I stand corrected) cards per year across 4 Adds. Following along with the software revision concept I'll be referring to those adds as YEAR.ADD, so this upcoming Add will be 16.2. Next year 17.1...

I've found this helps (me at least) keep track of our progress and should allow us to look back on things should we want to at some point.

So here's my proposal, as I think it would be helpful to be able to look forward and know what kind of focus there will be. Oh and before I get my proposal out I've noted my one big mistake in this whole endeavor so far, (please refrain from pointing them all out in this string) we should've leveraged the momentum that was created during the 16.1 ADD and already voted on and had our next batch ready to go. So I will attempt to do just that this time.

Proposed Annual Cadence:
Spring Training Add or 17.1
February
25 Cards - Focus is on Pre-Exp players
Reasoning, our 16.1 and 16.2 Add was heavy on EXP players

Early Season Add or 17.2
May
25 Cards - Focus OPEN

Summer Add or 17.3
August
50 Cards - 1 whole team + 25, Focus to be based on May ADD

Fall Classic Add or 17.4
November
25 Cards - Focus OPEN or another Team here?

I have asked SOM a number of times to automatically add, every year, last year's world series teams plus ballparks (I'd settle for even just the World Series winner). It's a nice bit of cross-sell to their 20xx set, and it is a nice way of getting new cards that are probably good at all caps, so we don't have to use up part of our card add by guessing at what cards might be good for low cap leagues. They never responded. If you agree, I encourage you to also send them an email.
