I know each committee is responsible for its group, and that is that group's responsibility. I also know decisions made by one person may not be what another would do, as in my wanting to help woeful Prewar franchises like the Browns and Senators, even though those players they need aren't always that great an addition.
Can I be a devil's advocate on one thing? It's seems like we are getting some nominations of hard-throwing setup guys whose stat lines may make them the equivalent of Mariano Rivera or Sutter. In addition to getting good cards, I'm interested in creating a kind of historical record as well; hence my complaining in the past that I don't feel that Ross Barnes should be in the conversation with Hornsby, Morgan, and Collins at 2b. I digress....Historically, I would like to see the best closers at the top of the food chain, so to speak. Is this a valid complaint? Again, not being critical, just asking a question that I think we need to answer before we complete this process.
Thoughts?
