If you want to spend less than 11 million on a leadoff hitter there is Pete Rose 1979. Great OBP/ good OPS, good defensively, his most productive SB total- 20, and he is bullet proof.
If we were using our heads, we might not be playing this game. For that matter, this game being invented probably was more of a heart thing than a head thing.
Pumpin him up (steriod era). Needs some votes. Great for small ball, ELITE defence and should be really affordable. Not my submission but I WILL use this card for every sub 100m team. It will be his first and likely only card. Do not really need another Pete ROSE card that much.

I'm ALWAYS for cheap , 1 defense middle infielders!
I get that he's not a big attractive name but I'm a little surprised on the lack of support that the Offerman card has received. A very playable card (especially compared to the rest of the KC middle infield).
I seem to remember a crusade to get an Alcides Escobar card into the set and he couldn't even hit!
