sometimes common sense is not all that common. no texiera...maybe that Horace clark card would be of better use!!! does anyone use these cards? the people who submitted their names should have to use them for an entire calendar year.
meanwhile....thanks for some of the hard work and research on some of the submissions so far. my approach and hope for new cards is:
1. ALL TIME greats using their best season.
2. Cards for players who have zero cards so far...lets have texiera/wells etc before another McGwire or bench card.
3. More cards for franchises that do not have many...rockies/marlins/dbacks....no more Yankees for a while.
4. If the card is under a certain value (less than 3m?), is it an alltime great?

you're missing the context in which those cards were added, and correct ATG no longer means All Time Greats...it really means, a place where All Time Greats play. As you know ATG now consists of many franchise and ERA leagues that have holes. We made an effort to add low end role players to 17.1 as there is a lack of them in ATG to fill those holes, use at lower caps and in the franchise and ERA leagues I mentioned above.
Pumpsie Green was added due to his historical significance as the first black player for the Red Sox, the last team to integrate.
