I like the list. How about adding 1961 Pumpsie Green (broke the color line for Boston in '59) and 1963 Steve Hamilton (He needs a card - The folly floater!)

Thanks,
Bill

How about Dick (Ducky) Schofield? Played 18 years with the Pirates, Cardinals and 5 other teams.
His best representative years were probably 1963-1964 with the Pirates when he batted .246 each year playing virtually full time SS between Dick Groat and Gene Alley's respective tenures as the Bucco SS.

Two nice suggestions...
Green = Huge historical significance. Looking deeper his 61 card would be HEAVY v LHP. That will put him in Gates Brown territory from the other side. Here's the comparison...

Brown '68 vs RHP 367/441/689/1130
Green '61 vs LHP 379/478/690/1168

eery

So this fact causes me pause as this will take him out of the target $$ for this role player category AND his impact would be much larger than his actual. What about his 60 season? Still leans toward R but will be a cheaper card.

Hamilton's '63 yr is listed in the mystery set and looks to be a solid addition...although risk is the $$ will creep up a bit.
thoughts?

Another solid suggestion, he's a perfect ATG role player. His '64 yr is listed on his 60's Mystery card BUT it looks like he only played SS that year. His '63 year shows SS, 2B, 3B...unfortunately not on his mystery card for the sneak peak. According to baseball reference he has a little less power in '63 but I think the added positions would be perfect to fill in rosters.

cool with '63?

Oh and he's Jayson Werth's Grandpa!

I like the '63 Hamilton card even if the price climbs a tad. I'm okay with any year for Pumpsie Green - I just feel he should be recognized with a card in the set.

How about speedster Dave Collins from the late 1970s and 1980s?
