I'd encourage the ambassadors to point out the holes of each franchise to help focus the debates.

Cardinals EXP & POST needs
EXP--needs SP depth, only really good cards all belong to Gibson and Tudor, 2005 Chris Carpenter, 2010 Wainwright, 1975 Bob Forsch, 1985 or 1986 Danny Cox
EXP--stronger RP
EXP--LF and RF are kind of weak, maybe 1967 Brock, maybe 1995 Ray Lankford, 1974 Bake McBride
EXP--1979 Garry Templeton at SS
POST-weak at 2b, need the 1953 Red Schoendienst
POST--weak at SS, does the 52 or 53 Hemus have decent defense? or 47 or 49 Marion?

Some possible Cardinal additions:

1/ Emmet Heidrick. 1901 season. Not in the set. Left-handed hitting centerfielder who looks to be a 1 or a 2 (if range factor stats are true). 8 years in the majors, 7 of them above 100 ops+. His 1901 season is his best (147 ops+), batting .339 and slugging .470, stealing 32 bases. Would be a vast improvement over Homer Smoot in Deadball Cards.

2/ Mike Grady. 1904 season. This guy could flat out hit for the time, finishing with a career 126 ops+. His 1904 season is his best (167 ops+), obs of .376, slugging .474. Catcher, 1B, 2B, 3B. 11 triples in 323 abs.

3/ Stan Musial. 1951 season. Same comments as with Mays and Banks. These guys were baseball. Led the league in triples, batting average (.355), total bases and runs scored. 183 ops+, .449 obp. 32 homers. Plays all outfield positions as well as 1B.

4/ Red Schoendienst. 1954 season. We just got his '53 season (finally!), but the '54 season has its attractions. Slightly better offensively than the 1952 card and probably with better defense. Possibly a 1L. Could help in lower caps.

5/ Chris Carpenter. 2005 season. Cy Young season. 1.055 WHIP. Probably a 4R. 18 homers allowed in 241 innings. 7.6 h/9 innings, 7.9 SO/9 inn, 1.9 BB/9 inn. S8*?

I endorse Andy's recommendations, especially the EXP additions of stronger starting and relief pitching for the EXP Cardinals.

Looks like we need an ambassador for the Cards.

The players being promoted so far are:
SP - Adam Wainwright 2010
OF - Brian Jordan 1998

In addition Chris Carpenter 2005 is on the list.
