I'd encourage the ambassadors to point out the holes of each franchise to help focus the debates.

Hopefully some of these guys will get some action. I probably went overboard with the number of guys I just wanted a good list to choose from. For the players that were on Bills Board I included their ranking and any note on the player, The Mariners need pitching, pitching, pitching, catcher, SS, LF, 3B and did I mention pitching? So I ranked the players in order of need for the franchise IMO.

Mariners
J.J. Putz 2007 SITH/Blue No Card RHRP needed to balance Bullpen
Randy Johnson 1995 CY/Red 2 Cards Mariners card
Michael Pineda 2011 No Card 1 year wonder for Mariners but excellent starter card to add
Rafael Soriano 2003 No Card Another RHRP needed in Bullpen
Felix Hernandez 2010 CY/Red 1 card
Felix Hernandez 2014 best year by WHIP
Kenji Jojima 2006 No Card a solid catcher
Dan Wilson 1996 SITH 1 Card best OPS year
John Jaso 2012 No Card LH platoon catcher likely a + arm
Alex Rodriguez 2000 Blue/SSR 3 Cards best SS option in Mariner history
Phil Bradley 1985 Blue/SITH 1 Card Solid LF option
Adrian Beltre 2007 1 Card plays a solid 3B
Jim Presley 1985 2 Cards best OPS year
Jim Presley 1986/Blue/BIP/Rank 4
Raul Ibanez 2006 BIP 1 Card good LF option
Tom Lampkin 1999 Yellow/BIP No Card another LH platoon catcher with a + arm
Bill Caudill 1982 No Card RHRP
Paul Abbott 1999 Purple/SITH No Card RHRP
Tino Martinez 1995 Purple No Card Best Mariner OPS card
Edgar Martinez 1995 Red/SITH/cards 3/rank 1 3 Cards Batting Title and and best OPS year. Probably only a DH
Mike Blowers 1993 No Card 3B option
Dave Valle 1993 BRC 1 Card best OPS year
Omar Vizquel 1992 2 Cards another SS option
Bill Swift 1991 SITH No Card RHRP
Scott Bankhead 1989 BIP No Card RHRP
Matt Young 1983 1 Card better starter card
Mark Langston 1984 2 Cards Better Mariner card
Tom Paciorek Blue/BRC/Rank 4 1 Card best Mariner card
Floyd Bannister 1982 BRC 1 Card Better card

1995 Edgar Martinez-Probably only a DH really need pitching

1995 Randy Johnson - need a SEA card-Agreed but already has 2 cards

1979 Julio Cruz-Already have Boone at 2B other holes to fill

2005 Richie Sexson-RH lefty killer at 1B merits some consideration

1985 Phil Bradley-Agreed, excellent option at LF

Here's a few, I dunno if the cards exist in specific year sets, but I know none of these cards are in ATG.

Raul Ibanez, 2006 (.289, .353, .516) — 33 HR, 123 RBI, no strat card?
Tino Martinez, 1995 (.293, .369, .551) — 31 HR, 111 RBI, no strat card?
Richie Sexson, 2005 (.263, .369, .561) — 39 HR, 121 RBI (and 167 Ks), no strat card?
Erik Hanson, 1990 (3.24 ERA, 1.16 WHIP) — 18-9, 211 Ks in 236 IP, no strat card?
Mike Schooler, 1990 (2.25 ERA, 1.13 WHIP) — 1-4, 30 saves, no strat card?

If I were to pare down my list I spose these are the cards I would want added the most and why:

2007 JJ Putz 1.38 ERA .698 WHIP only All Star year. Would be worthy add for all ATG leagues. Also qualifies for the D-Backs, Mets and White Sox in franchise leagues that allow any player who played for team to be chosen. No Card

1995 Randy Johnson 2.48 ERA(Led League) 1.05 WHIP 294 K(Led League) Cy Young. Was the Horse the M's rode to their historic 1995 run. Dominated the Angels in 1 game playoff a 9-1 win. M's need starters this is a good one even though he already has 2 cards.

2014 Felix Hernandez 2.14 ERA .92 WHIP Led league in ERA, WHIP and hits per 9 inn. Not Cy Young card but better numbers card, solid add for M's starting rotation. 1 Card

2011 Michael Pineda 3.74 ERA 1.10 WHIP 5th in ROY voting another solid add for M's starters. No Card

2003 Rafeal Soriano 1.53 ERA .79 WHIP I'm guessing hard RHRP would be versatile add, see Putz above. Would be another option for Braves, Nationals, Yankees, Rays, and Cubs in Franchise leagues. No Card

2006 Kenji Johjima .291/.332/.451 Gives M's an upgrade over current catchers 4th in ROY vote. No Card

1996 Dan"The Man" Wilson .285/.330/.444 Best catcher in M's history deserves best OPS card. 1 card

2000 Alex Rodriguez .316/.420/.606 Best SS card in M's history Silver Slugger, 3rd in MVP, 41 Homers and last year as an M before signing ridiculous 10 year $250 mil contract. Already has 3 cards.

1992 Omar Vizquel .294/.340/.352 Best OPS year as an M and would give them, as well as other ATG teams in lower CAPS, a cheaper option at SS. 2 Cards.

1985 Phil Bradley .300/.365/.498 Only All Star year would give M's a solid option at LF, played right and center as well. Current card is over balanced at 6R as RH hitter. 1 Card

2006 Raul Ibanez .289/.353/.516 Best OPS year as an M in second go round with the team. Left in 2000 for KC because Lou Pinella thought he was a nice kid but couldn't hit. Another LF option, 621 ab's should make him bullet proof. No Card

2005 Richie Sexson .263/.369/.561 1B RH lefty killer to add to the lineup probably in the mold of Dave Kingman with better defense. No Card

1995 Tino Martinez .293/.369/551 Last year as an M key cog in the 1995 offense. Best card as an M but has better with Yankees, 1997. No Card

Ok all as I am a 1 man committee and have had little input from the community these will be the Mariners final nominations for the time being. I have six choices which is over the recommended limit, but the M's have many holes to fill to make them a competitive stand alone Franchise. 3 choices already have a card, 2 who are not currently on the team, 1 who is. These additions would make the Mariners a more balanced Franchise.

2007 JJ Putz 1.38 ERA .698 WHIP only All Star year. Would be worthy add for all ATG leagues. Also qualifies for the D-Backs, Mets and White Sox in franchise leagues that allow any player who played for team to be chosen. If you can't get enough starters, then a strong Bullpen is the next best thing.

Nothing much to add here Randy started his career here, threw the first No-Hitter in M's history, first 20 game winner and got the nickname "the Big Unit" here. Even though he was inducted into the hall as a D-Back everyone in Seattle claims him as theirs.

2014 Felix Hernandez 2.14 ERA .92 WHIP Led league in ERA, WHIP and hits per 9 inn. Not Cy Young card but better numbers card, solid add for M's starting rotation. This card would be an upgrade for "King Felix" the current anchor of the Mariners staff although the innings pitched appear to be catching up to him. Threw the Mariners only perfect game. 1 Card

2006 Kenji Johjima .291/.332/.451 Gives M's an upgrade over current catchers 4th in ROY vote. Because Dan Wilson already has a card I chose this one, if memory is correct he was a 2(-2) defense while hitting Rh better. The M's really need another catcher. No Card

1992 Omar Vizquel .294/.340/.352 Best OPS year as an M and would give them a solid defensive SS. AROD should be the choice here however his 2000 card would almost certainly be north of 9 mil so even though it's certainly debatable I decided to go with "Little O" as AROD would IMO be a duplication of his 2003 Texas card. I would think this card would be in the 2-3 mil range with a "1" defense making him attractive at lower cap levels to all ATG teams. Also get the added bonus of he and Arthur Rhodes "discussing" the amount of bling a player should wear on the field. 2 Cards.

2006 Raul Ibanez .289/.353/.516 Best OPS year as an M in second go round with the team. Left in 2000 for KC because Lou Pinella thought he was a nice kid but couldn't hit. Another LF LH power option, 621 ab's should make him bullet proof. Again as Bradley has a card I chose Ibanez I'm thinking he would be in the 3-5 mil range. His defense will probably be awful but the M's have decent defensive replacements. No Card

2003 Rafeal Soriano 1.53 ERA .79 WHIP I'm guessing hard RHRP would be versatile add, see Putz above. Would be another option for Braves, Nationals, Yankees, Rays, and Cubs in Franchise leagues that allow all players who played for team to be chosen. Another top end reliever who would make the Mariners Bullpen one of the best in ATG combined with Putz, Charlton, Rhodes and Sasaki(Only player to go on the DL while tripping over his suitcase, rumored to be a heavy drinker :0 ). No Card

Many great options here. Palerydr2.0 you're the main Ambassador, care to hone in one 1 P and 1 B?

Already on the list are:

RP - JJ Putz 2007
SP - Felix Hernandez 2014
SP - Randy Johnson 1995

I'm for the 2014 Felix over the Cy Young Felix. BUT I'd really rather see the 95 Big Unit at this time!
95 Tino Martinez would be welcomed as well.
