1923 Ken Williams - one of the true sluggers of the 1920s, needs better representation

1940 Rip Radcliff - pre SLB grouping is bad. This and others can help rectify this

1942 Wally Judnich - CF, power

1936 Lyn Lary - 1930s SS

1928 Heinie Manush - best season, helps Browns

1944 Nels Potter - Browns World Series SP

1922 George Sisler - the man batted .420

BROWNS PREWAR needs

RP--depth and improvement
1922 George Sisler, his .420 season. Would give SLB PRE more pop
SS--1936 Lyn Lary, not sure of his defense
LF/RF Corner OF--1923 Ken Williams, one of the true sluggers of the 1920s, needs a better card and helps Browns.
1928 Heinie Manush, batted .378, big bat for bad squad. 1940 Rip Radcliff, hit .342. 1935 Moose Solters, batted .330.
CF-1942 Wally Judnich, batted .313, .912 OPS

No love for the Browns?

1/ Wally Judnich. 1942 season. Can only reiterate what Andy said. Bay Area boy. 154 ops+. 2 or 3 in CF? In the top ten in most offensive categories for that year. Spent the three following years in the military. One of those players who might have gone on to great things in baseball.

2/ Nels Potter. 1944 season. Pitching leader of the first place Browns. 19 game winner. 1.211 WHIP. Might even be a SP/RP. 9th in MVP voting. 129 era+.

I didn't realize we had a separate Browns thread - I posted my thoughts on the Orioles thread. If you think we should have two threads I can import here - then of course we get both requests added. I know "Browns" were Cardinals predecessors.

I'd just like to say that the '22 Sisler season was his best and should be represented.

I would rank the Browns like this

Heinie Manush 1928 378/414/575 ONE CARD, not his best year (2nd in MVP)
Harry Rice 1925 359/450/568 NO CARD (5th in MVP)
George Sisler 1922 420/467/594 TWO CARDS, missing this MVP year
Ken Williams 1923 357/439/623 THREE CARDS, missing his best year

Barney Pelty 1906 .951 WHIP 260 ip ONE CARD huge upgrade
Jack Powell 1908 1 whip 273 ip, ONE CARD, upgrade
Fred Glade 1906 1.03 whip 266 ip NO CARD
