A cool stat thing I've always gotten a kick out of is 40-40. The expansion ERA has a monopoly on this I believe, yet doesn't go nutso in strat. It's the guys who've gotten close that i'd like to add most notably the '02 Soriano - perhaps the ultimate saber/strato conondrum if priced correctly. Carlos Beltran's '04 season is awfully tantalizing but may not have the %s chops to keep its head above water + we may want it in the Royals franchise though, <------he did play part of 04 in KC though....

Alfonso Soriano 2002
Carlos Beltran 2003/2004
Chris Sale 2014 (5 man staff needs love)
Brad Lidge 2004 why not?

now just thinking out loud here, for GREAT/historic/big cultural/playing in meaningful games, I think Soriano, Lidge and Beltran are all worthy picks. Beltran has a card but it sucks....

Shouldn't that be a big thing for guys without cards to add? Greatest take priority and for what I outlined i'd say:

Beltran
Soriano
Konerko
Sale

are about the best players not in the deck?

Other guys I'd like to see:

Miguel Tejada 2002 - the historic MVP moneyball year plus is a 1 on D. More interesting mix than the '04 card.

JD Drew 2003 - Injury bug year --perhaps where I differ from alot of guys. NOT HIS BEST YEAR, but hopefully a representative one. Not a necessary guy, but his best year, '04 is the highest WAR for a player NOT in the deck. Retired now, .870 career OPS!!!!

Bobby Abreu 2004? - '99 card is a real bummer and should maybe be a lesson that '99 doesn't pan out all that well and heck should maybe be avoided, with the EDIT*** big numbers everywhere.

Oh I'd like a 1-3.5 mil dollar Omar Vizquel.....It's too inronic to me that the classic Bowa/Concepcion/Wallace/Amaro/Apparacio of a newer era ONLY has overpriced cards (one from '99....) that are a huge burden and are frankly in the realm of I-Rod and Ichiro.....
