Rosie you did a very good job in organizing and herding the 100 cats in this community and getting the 50 players selected, job well done, it was not easy and you did it.

I'll drink to that! I was impressed at how organized this was. I haven't felt this much buzz about ATG in the 3 plus years I've been online.

Rosie, I don't know what chord you hit during your interactions with SOM to get this started but I thank you for being able to do that.

I'd also like to express my gratitude to all of those who have undertaken this task and compiled the well researched player options especially the long time vets who, despite previous disappointments with management both at the current site and at the Sporting News before this. were very active in the project as well. Hopefully management will follow through on their end with similar enthusiasm and, beyond that, hopefully they will begin to address other issues with the game as well.

Just excellent, Rosie. I really appreciate all the effort you put into this. I equally appreciate the contributions from those who worked so hard on the pre-voting vetting, particularly Andy, Druid and FRANKMANSUETO, with whom I worked.

Nice job Rosie! You pulled this together in a timely manner, now let's hope Strat does the same with the cards.

In the future I would like to see five polls (by era, with the 2000+ players split into a new '21st Century' era), so we get an equal number of cards added across eras. This add had 40% plus come from the '21st Century' era.

Also, since you seem to have Strat's ear, can we PLEASE get the 2008 Rays added? (1 Ray out of 50 cards and 21 of those cards came from 2000+...at that rate it will take forever just to get to 5 Rays cards in the set).

Thanks,
Bill

Good job Rosie. Thanks for volunteering and getting this done.

I am a bit concerned about the next part in the process. Garcia didn't even bother to post his blog yesterday, I had hoped there might be some mention by SOM about how long it might take them to get the additions done and available for use, and also some forthcoming card images.

Next round of this, perhaps you could ask SOM to put out a card image for every candidate -which they can easily do- just so we can see exactly what we are voting for.

Thanks all, again many folks made this waaaaaaay easier, Andy topping that list and the fact that a lot of you worked with Bill on his master list was an awesome foundation.

I anticipate this card add will happen in mid August as I know they are in the middle of adding the '82 season and it is the summer...we are all taking time off. So continued patience is probably the theme of the day. LOL

Personally I'm already moving off of this add and thinking about the next one. I'll be analyzing the cards we did vote in and providing my suggested 'next grouping'. I'm anxious to see if this Ambassador concept has legs and will continue to operate without too much push. Ultimately the goal is to continue the debates and discussions and always have a vetted, ranked list of next cards so that when we get the call there isn't any delay and we flip SOM our picks in 48 hours tops...as I'm very conscious of the time this took us this time around.
