16.2 Card Add Proposal

Hi All,

Here's my proposal for this 25 card add.
1. A balanced add with at least 10 Batters and 10 Pitchers with room to account for ties in the voting.
2. Disallow the franchises that placed 3 or more cards in 16.1. So no A's, Red Sox, White Sox, Tigers, Pirates and Padres. And let's add in the Yankees as well as we know how well represented they are in ATG.
3. Take the vote getters 51-100 from 16.1
4. Add back in the Cy Young and MVP's (yes that means Peavy gets back on the list). This trumps #2
5. Add back in Andy Pettitte, I'm not a Yankee fan but he just deserves a card
6. Each franchise ambassador not listed in #2 above nominates 1 Batter and 1 Pitcher by Tues, Nov 1 (or sooner)

The above formula will give us 50 batters and 50 pitchers to vote on. We'll vote on 10 each to allow for ties.

Not sure about rule #3. Most 1-50 players probably made consensus, but we are on less solid ground for 51-100.

Why not one player per franchise after disallowing 5 franchises, as decided by a vote on each franchise post?

In reviewing the voting from 16.1 the average per poll was 48 voters if we assume they all cast 25 votes each. So 51-100 absolutely obtained consensus, the break point was rank 111.

Having managed the voting process once before leveraging our previous run in some fashion seems like a prudent play.
