1954 Dusty Rhodes , New York Giants. What a fun card, have the original version, World Series hero.
1957 Hurricane Hazle, Braves. The kid who stepped in for the injured Billy Bruton and propelled the Braves into the 57 series.
Bill James, 1914 Boston Braves. Big time winner for the Miracle Braves.
1963 Dick Ellesworth, Cubs. 2.11 ERA in 290 innings.
1964 Wally Bunker, Orioles. Went 19-5 and then disappeared.
Justin Thompson, 1997 Tigers. Had one very good season, then tanked.
Rick Ankiel, Cardinals pitcher. Before he converted to an outfielder.
Oliver Perez, 2004 Pirates. struck out 239 batters in 196 innings.

these guys would be great fun to have available.

Ellsworth is in sir, I have been satisfied when I could afford him at $8.95M. used him 2 or 3 times already plus 1 or 2 active

he's like 5L (un)balanced, not quite the beast the $9.4M Big Unit is, no where near the Ks, but not that far off.

also, he was not actually a flash in the pan, think of how many modern pitchers have put up that ERA in Wrigley with over 200IP - it ain't a dozen, probably not even half a dozen, he pitched over 250 innings and lost 22 the next year, had a slight return w/ Boston in '70 (3.03 ERA, 16-8 196 IP)

I think the Cubs threw his arm out in '66 (the other card of his in the set) when he was 8-22 - that card won the clincher of a championship for me, so it ain't that bad either, its like $4.26M and 8L, put either one in a lefty-favoring unbalanced park and watch him deal... the (near) stud card is also an F9 so I leave him in and get a nice number of complete games from him.
