where are the rest of the cards from the list I put together for you way back when?

Those guys are overdue.
Especially the 1899 McGraw card
and that Chipper Jones card
and a couple of the others

They were under consideration but due to the fact that Chipper has 2 other cards and he missed by 13 votes last time I left him off for this vote. McGraw was in the last wave of cuts to get down to 50 per poll. They are both listed in the master spreadsheet and are not forgotten.

Thanks Rosie! Some nice looking possibilities here, though I would have loved to have seen a few more pitchers get in (10 out of 50). Maybe next time.

Thanks Rosie! I'm VERY excited about this add! Willie Crawford I've been lobbying for a long time. Really glad to see Counsel (one of the nicest guys I've ever met) squeak in!

Breakdown by decade:

1890s -- 3
1900s -- 1
1910s -- 0
1920s -- 1
1930s -- 0
1940s -- 1
1950s -- 1
1960s -- 4
1970s -- 7
1980s -- 8
1990s -- 11
2000s -- 9
2010s -- 4

Some nice representation from the 90s (both 1890s and 1990s), and a tacit recognition that the 70s and 80s were decades of great baseball and the time that many of us feel closest to. But I would have loved to seen more 10s, 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s guys get in (though happy for Andy that Douthit finally got in).

Hey Rosie, not sure when you’re going to start posting for a 19-1 discussion, and I have an early nomination.

Doing research for the an upcoming franchise themed league and it occurs to me that Bobby Bonilla deserves another/better card. A 16 year veteran who played for 8 teams (Mets and Bucs mostly) and 6-time All-Star. His one card is not from any of those 6 seasons. In ‘90 and ‘91 he finished top 3 in MVP voting, on two strong Pirates teams.

I'd like to see a Jimmy Wynn addition, preferably the '65 or '70 cards. Wynn's one of the most underappreciated players, and in SOM his '69 card rocks big time. :ugeek: 8-)
