I do not. I am not that kind of skilled SOM aficionado.

Hello Frankie. Thanks for giving us an opportunity to give input on your player selection. You are a class act. I'm hoping that you consider 1975 Carlton Fisk. His stats are below.

1975 Carlton Fisk, Red Sox, C 2(-2)e7 T-11, Bats R .331 10 52 .395 .529 .923 Career high BA. Near career highs in OBP, SLG, OPS & OPS+. This is the season that Fisk hit the dramatic walk off World Series game 6 12th inning HR that he waved fair that we all watched growing up. 2 Inj rating, like most catchers. Probably a 4L. This Fisk card would provide managers with a lefty masher alternative to the other Fisk cards, which range from E to 4R.

Broadcast immortals Dick Stockton and Joe Garagiola make the call:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4P3n2TCgEE

The 1975 Red Sox likely don't win the AL pennant without Fisk's contribution.

It's hard to believe that it's been nearly 48 years since this happened.

This was arguably Fisk's best season and most HOFers have their best card in the player set. Unfortunately, Fisk is just 6 plate appearances short of the 300 plate appearance minimum to be ballot eligible for election to the ATG9 player card set, so he can never get his 1975 card added to the player ATG player card set through election by the community, but no such minimum applies to players selected by Barnstormers participants.

As an aside, I think that the 300 plate appearance minimum for ballot eligibility in the ATG game should be changed to 250 for catchers, due to greater likelihood of injury, which reduces the number of catcher plate appearances, but that's a topic for another thread. I do note, however, that there are nearly 150 catcher cards in the ATG game with fewer than 1975 Fisk's 294 plate appearances who had nowhere near the career that Fisk had.

Frankie, I hope you consider the 1975 Fisk card, not only for being arguably the best season of Fisk's HOF career, but for 1975 Fisk's historical significance in providing one of the most dramatic moments in baseball history.

I still hear the drumroll. Who won the nomination?

Would be interested in seeing all the BS nominations, out of curiosity.
