BUMP-
but also, folks- think about what positions and more unique players we might need-
and please use Andy's guide, especially for the cards you can't see so much.

I don't get it, Otto Velez is out polling Tony Gonzalez. Both are LH platoon players. Velez is really only suitable as a lower cap DH, but Gonzo is a good left fielder! Yea, Velez has more power, for sure! C'mon though, I know lots of y'all play small ball at lower caps and y'all need to give Tony G some love!

The love for Salkeld baffles me. Short career. One good year. But then people platoon a lot, so…we also get Mike Kingery.

I voted for Tony but I understand people voting for Otto, or any player without a card. There is something about getting a new representation over a third card for an OK player.

Velez had an 11 year career with no card and his 5R card will be used plenty, unless it comes in overpriced. I really like that card.

I understand why people want guys without cards but for me personally I’d rather get a sixth Yaz card than the first kingrey card. (Just an example of guys nominated). In my opinion/experience I like having different price ranges for the hall of fame players. Even if it’s just different by .5 it creates a scenario where you can still use one of your favorite players and upgrade somewhere else or something like that. Or use that player in an environment where their other card isn’t as useful. But overall I think adding cards this way gives us the best variety and is a great way of doing it overall.

I understand both thought processes. For me. I want every major award winner represented. So I always nominate an uncarded MVP and vote for any uncarded MVP or CY. Other than that I tend to have a preference for other uncarded p,Ayers and players with non representative cards. Hence I vote both for Velez and Johnson here (as well as Robin Roberts in the hopes this new card is more usable in higher cap leagues as well although his home run totals will always hamper him)

Perhaps if I had presented him as SamWise Gangees, more folks would maybe realize that we just might want/need/could use another
good/decent hitting lefty SS? :? :D 8-)

Ha. Perhaps. His card looks very playable in the Card Viewer. Nice offensive SS with lefty bat and a 2 range. I voted for him.
