Man, I would be trying to draft that Kirby Puckett card as my CD on just about ANY $80m team in a park with any power!

Paul Hines is one of the best players without a card. Hit .302 over a 20 year career. 19th century by far the most underrepresented era in ATG.

Sam Wise damnit--
we need more SS that can hit- and this one is a LEFTY -- we have very few of those!
thought this one was obvious, but last time he just missed out.

Also I voted for Hines for exactly the reason stated.

My suggestion is for once a year having nominations for players with NO cards or ONLY one. This would help expand the players pool. Maybe focus on DB, PRE and POST ERA's only. So research needs to be done to help fill in the gaps of the teams that need help.

Very good idea.

Maybe have each poll be limited to one era at a time. I personally don't care about pre-WWII players that much, nor the current cards to be included. (Was thrilled to see all the 1950s nominations, sad to see they are mostly not getting votes.)

a lot of the bias has to do with being able to see the cards themselves, rather than people not liking earlier players- or at least I 'think' it does.

I'm not sure why it's so hard to get pre-1900 hitters elected. The pitchers usually don't have a problem getting in.

I voted for Wise and Hines. I think Wise in particular would be a great addition to the set. Excellent offensive SS w/lefty bat...
