This time last year Rangers were on top of the world. Consecutive world series appearances. All the talk was about how good Yu could be and how much Japanese media was in camp. Any question about the future had a positive answer because we all believed in Nolan and his leadership would help them overcome any obstacle in the long run.
Jump forward and last few days all the news and talk has been about whether Nolan Ryan is being forced out.
And how much friction there was between Daniels and Wash on playing the young players last year.
and whether the coaches and scouts were behind the decision to move Feliz to rotation. Apparently coaches and scouts were saying he was not ready and would not hole up with the so called Daniels camp was insisting the sabermetrics said he would be fine. Of course hindsight being 20/20 and now knowing the story ended with Tommy John surgury...
Worse of all has been the silence from Ryan. All the whispers and rumors could be crushed by a single news conference.
