You make the call.

Here is the scene. KC batter hits a high fly down the RF line. Batboy hops op, trots over almost to the foul line and settles under to catch the ball. RFer charges all the way over thinking he had the catch but had to veer slightly dodging the batboy.

Fortunately the batboy had misjudged the ball and was a couple feet in front of where the ball came down. With the distracton of the batboy flailing at the ball with his glove not to mention just being there at all drops the ball.

So what's the call

Batter out due to interference. Batboy expelled for interference. The RFer ejected for interfering with the batboy in the execution of his duties.

Batter is out.

Depends on if the RF'er is home or away. If the Home team is on the field then it is a foul ball otherwise it is a out due to interfernce. It's thier ballboy so it is thier fault! Only fair

It was blue jay RFer and Royals batboy. Umpires ruled it just a foul ball. Batter grounded out couple pitches later so had no impact on the game.

That must be a horrible feeling for the ballboy as he sat there realizing what he had done. Imagine the grief he got from friends and family after.

How about the Pirate fan with that huge glove you couldn't drop a fly ball with that thing

I coach a couple kids that could have used it and I would have felt a lot better when balls went their way

I think I saw the highlight you refer to on the big glove. Would love to see a link to that though.
If we are talking about same highlight wonder where fan got that glove? Highlight I saw on tv was brief so not sure if glove was really as big as appeared.
