The reason why I don't like your team:

With any pitchers park team, you should be aiming to win in your home, especially with the other parks so different. That means, forgetting about BP HR's, and worrying about the TB's of each hitter. In your park, doubles can get a guy home, since those BP HR's become outs.

Now, this is my opinion, only.

but I would rather have Jackson in CF (someone needs to get on base), and get a cheap 1B platoon (M Gomez vs RHP works nicely, usually available). with LaRoche you're paying a lot for Defense at a position where it isn't necessary, as well as all those BP HR's that are outs at home. He has more hits/OB/TB vs RHP (less HR, but 11 more TB), and will end up with better numbers tbh.

All of the other teams have some weak spots, you have to do the same, but as smart as possible. I think it's called the studs and scrubs approach. Here is my last 80 mil team, based off that:
http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/team/1025437

My usual goal for pitcher park teams is this (by batting order)

1: 45+ OB and a * for speed
2: lower DP's and 40+ OB and 40+ TB, prefer a * but doesn't need it
3: best hitter, 30+ hit, 40+ ob and 50+tb with some natural HR power
4: lower version of #3
5: lots of TB/natural HR here, come up with 2 outs so want to drive home some runs, not worry about OB as much.
6: typically those crappy catchers that have 40+ OB and 35 TB with some HR power (guys like GRnadal) or just next best hitter
7: pure power with little else (guys like Colvin or C Davis).
8: worst hitter
9: lesser version of #1/2 E Cabrera for instance

So with what you have I see this:

Brantley (36.8 OB, yuck), #2??, Hamilton, Rios, A Ram, Willingham, #7??, Crawford, Cabrera.

I don't like that leadoff option, and you have no one to really fit the other spots. Also, I would like to see more LH hitters in there, so perhaps LaRoche needs to stay, even though he won't put up good stats for you.

Somehow that offense is missing some spots that needs addressing.

I know I didn't really address your issues, but I'm basically giving you why I think your team has problems. Hopefully you cna figure out what to do from here. As most of the best FA's are taken, it's hard to get a good fit from what is left tbh.

first, excellent analysis Geekor! In addition to those ideas, if I were in your division I'd load up on lefty starters for the progressive teams, it won't work for the fenway team but if you can beat 2 of the 3....

Maybe I'm an outlier, but I don't carry any more pitchers than required. Many times I'll even have a .50 SP only pitcher or 9L/9R SP only to fill a spot.

my rationale is that low price pitchers will hurt you more than help you.

That is thought provoking Scumby, how does it work for you? So you don't think the lefty righty specialist roles work all that well? Can you give some examples of a staff you like?

Steve, all that remains on the left side of any worth really is Sale and Sabathia. So I did the best I could with the reverse righties. With all the Progressives in the league and vets here its slim pickins

Well, Hamilton and Laroche will chew up Progressive. I wouldn't drop them.
