I'm torn. 10 mil is A LOT of $. However, there does not seem to be many progressive type 3rd basemen out there right now. No Solid lefties with BPHRs and the best righty fit I could see is Prado. Any suggestions for a cheaper 3b that fits Progressive Field well? (There are 5 in our league, 3 in my division!! ) how about cheapie platoons?

Since I am asking for help, this is my first time using progressive so if you have any other all around great progressive players you might want to suggest, I would be all ears!

Well with Headly you're paying for those 8 BP HR's vs LHP that will be outs. So not necessarily the best. I would figure D Wright (low in BP HR's) would be the best 3B, with a platoon using E Chavez the next best use of funds.

I LOVE Fontenot and used him in a DH platoon many times, though I play in Fenway and O.co, so there the "w" power doens't matter. In Progressive, not really worth having a w powered DH.

You're also not throwing out 2 positions, so can't help completely. I would figure with the lack of any LH power in the 2012 set, that Headly would still be a keeper. You could do better, but could surely do much worse as well.

You didn't post your LF/Cf, so it's hard to get an idea on your complete team.

And yes the w is negative. It means every time he would have gotten a BP HR off the pitchers card, it will become a single instead. You pick progressive so all those LH hitters BP HR's are HR's, and the RH hitters aren't. So you wnat your LH hitters to have hgh BP HR's, your RH hitters to have few. W powered RH hitters would be ok, as their BP HR's will most likely be an out anyways. But killing your LH hitters should happen on the road not at home.

Who would you rather have as a closer J.Motte or H.Street ? Motte is a bit cheaper and all his righty BPHRs don't hurt so much but he also has some dingers on his card. What do you think. I'm holding both for a moment.
