Last night my nine-man-team faced Kuroda, a 1R righty.
As described above, I juggled the order of the lineup preferences. They were in this order:
C: I - Brantly, I - Pacheco, Perez
DH: I - Lowrie, I - Pacheco, Perez
1B: Trumbo, I - Pacheco
3B: I - Longoria, I - Pacheco, Trumbo
As expected, with this arrangement HAL started Perez at catcher. Young was found on the bench and inserted at DH.
What I can't explain: HAL started Trumbo at 3B and put Quentin at 1B. Previously (see above) HAL had left Trumbo at first and put Quentin at 3B. Maybe there is a random element to this? Or perhaps HAL's batting order has something to do with it (HAL started the players in an order that was not suggested by strictly following my lineup depth chart).
