Don't the Royals have a lefty they could have brought in to pitch to Moss in that situation? Just wondering

How much did Soto's injury hurt Oakland? Norris didn't look too good on D

Congrats to the Royals

Wasn't Hosmer's "triple" really a "double and 2 idiots crashing into each other"? ;)

Poor Billy. He gives up his best player to get his supposed playoff ace, Lester. Not only does the team's offense collapse, dropping them out of a substantial division lead into the Wild Card, but that "ace" gets rocked and the A's are out in 1. Now, the Russell trade for Samardzija looks even worse, as Russell is looking like a solid starting/possible all star shortstop for the next 10-15 years for the Cubs, and the A's only have one year left of the Shark. And with Lowrie (bad D and all) headed for free agency, they may be in a bind at short.

Billy is still the top of his profession, and is probably headed to the HOF, but his moves this year, and their subsequent results, will always tarnish his luster a bit.
